Our core team has been working together since the middle of the 1990s, and the team members are leading experts in their respective fields. All our consultancy advice and services are based on a common market view. This view is based on our in-depth industry knowledge and long experience, balanced with academic and analytical excellence. We have delivered added value for our customers over many years, based on our advice and decisions.

Broad range of products and services

We offer a comprehensive range of services and solutions. For our institutional and private investors, we offer extensive investment research services, together with broking services for equities, fixed income securities, and foreign exchange. Through our subsidiary First Wealth Management we offer private banking services and funds products, we offer investor and business services through our subsidiary First Business Services and we offer real estate investment services through our subsidiary First Newsec Asset Management.

Over recent years, First Securities has also developed a strong position in Corporate Finance. This encompasses advice on mergers and acquisitions, together with services related to both the equity and debt markets such as stock exchange listings, public offers, private placements, IPOs, refinancing and restructuring. We also offer corporate banking services through our owner and business partner Swedbank, and can advise our customers on the entire range of financing alternatives.

Organisational structure

First Securities is structured as a consolidated group with operational subsidiaries. The unifying aspect of all areas of the organisation is that they utilise the firm’s unique investment research expertise when developing products and consultancy services. First Securities currently has 230 employees (autumn 2010), including its branch offices in Bergen and Stavanger.

From November 2010, Swedbank AB owns 100 % of the shares in First Securities.
